Via Mercanti Nortd in Vaughan

Italian restaurant / pizzeria with wood burning oven. Welcoming atmosphere, personnel is friendly and courteous. Menu choice is reasonably ample and completed with a few "choices of the day". Service was fast and accurate, food of quality and tasty, portions on the generous side.

Always great food and amazing staff that make you feel at home!! Will keep going back, love the new location! A must try!!

Great atmosphere. Pizza was quite soggy, with an actual pool of fluid under it. Apparently, it is because they make their own mozzarella but nobody wants to slurp their pizza toppings.

Great Pizza and service

Nice place with good food. Seemed very popular for large groups. There was live entertainment - he was performing Italian songs. He was good, but the volume was so loud it was incredibly hard to hear the person I was having a conversation with. Went home with a headache from the noise.

After being turned down by a nearby restaurant, we called Via Mercanti and asked if they had space for 3, they went ahead and set a table for us right away! The food was delicious, portions are quite large and the complimentary bread was fresh and steaming hot! The service was good too.

Went on Valentine's day for the first time to this location. It was a full house and expected service to be slow. It was quite the opposite. It was fast and fantastic. The food from calamari to ravioli in heart shape stuffed with ricotta and lobster was amazing. The pizza was also good. The fresh hot bread to cleanup the sauce of the pasta was excellent. My plate was spotless when I was done. I would highly recommend this location to anyone. Prices are reasonable and in line with any other good restaurant in Woodbridge. This truly made up for last week's dissappointment of Greek Brothers.

Food is awesome but we learned after ordering there are specials. We came back another night with our parents and again the staff didn’t tell us the specials for the night, I had to ask and then was told. The specials were off the hook.

Amazing food, service was good until it got busy then we were ignored for 20 to 30 mins at a time. Asked other waiters and waitresses for the bill and they'd run away.Perhaps more staff would be beneficial The food however is great! True authentic Italian cuisine. The atmosphere is decent as well

Great food, better pizza oven than the other location in Concord. My only issue with the meal was with the time it took for our order to be ready; 35 minutes for the olives, just over an hour for the pizza!

We've been multiple times to multiple locations and the consistency in the service, food, and ambiance is amazing! We've held two parties here and the servers are top notch. This most recent time, Melissa took care of our 45 person party with the help of the other staff. She is an absolute darling!! We can't say enough good things about her. Very friendly and attentive. The pizza is obviously amazing, pasta was perfectly al dente (rose sauce!!) and the chicken cooked well with big portions. Tiramisu was light and delicious!! We will definitely be hosting more parties here in the future.

This is the best pizza in Toronto! The other food is great also. Simply a must try whether downtown or Woodbridge. Authentic Italian hospitality makes it that much better. If you want a treat they the monster sized Panzarotto. Probably best shared.

To me this is the best pizza in the GTA. We live in mississauga but we drive all the way to Woodbridge to get our pizzas from Via mercanti. They have 3 locations in Toronto as well. The website has them listed. The service is always perfect. Prices are extremely affordable. Elegant touch: each table has an unopened bottle of wine :) The cook and the waiters/waitresses are all Italian. Cute in a way Ideal for dates, social outings,... 5 stars

I'd like to first say that I highly recommend this Italian restaurant. My first time here and will definitely return. Right from the appetizer to the main course, I totally enjoyed every bite. Being from an Italian background, I'm very picky to Italian restaurants, but Pizzeria Via Mercanti is must, you will not be disappointed. I'd like to add that the service was also excellent as our waitress was right there asking if we needed anything. Thank you Pizzeria Via Mercanti for the great experience. I'll definitely be back.

Went for New year's Eve and the food was excellent. A fixed menu reasonably priced and great service. Had a live band too.

Amazing menu with fantastic tasting dishes. Ingredients are all super fresh and delicious. Frittura Di Pesca was one of the best I have had in a very long time. Pizza here will not disappoint and is very popular. I believe they have ranked as one of the top pizza establishments in the GTA. We had the Crudo e Rucola (white pizza with Cherry Tomatoes and Arugula) was very light and was a great compliment to our dinner. Prices are very reasonable for 5 star dishes! If you are looking for authentic Italian dishes in a great atmosphere and don't want to break the bank....give Via Mercanti a try, you will not be disappointed and will return.

Decided to try this place as I have been to the other 2 locations they took over the Rosas place (sad I never tryed Rosas) Via Mercanti WAS very good the only reason not a full 5 stars is the pizza is not cooked in a wood fired oven. Overall service was great the food was very good. Had the mozerella balls and a pizza.very good pizza was crispy good.

Well, If you want a quiet Italian restaurant with a slow relaxed service....go somewhere else. This place was very noisy. Additionally it felt very rushed. Our main came out before our soup and we had been served and paid in 45 minutes. While the food was tasty...it was too much too fast. Can't say I will return anytime soon.

An oasis of great food, reasonable price, in a relaxed Italian atmosphere. People are unpretentious, relaxed, happy and friendly.

Love this place, The food is great the atmosphere is nice. If you haven't been, put it on your bucket list!

I have visted Via Mercanti at their previous Woodbridge location many times, and am happy to say that their new location is even better! Much larger seating areaS, delicious homemade comfort food, and very accommodating for large groups. The restaurant does tend to get busy so I would recommend making a reservation, even if you are a small group.

Via Mercanti is easily one of my favourite restaurants in Vaughan, if not all of Toronto. The pizza is as authentic as it gets, with the pizza makers coming straight from Italy, along with majority of the staff, only making this place more authentic. The service was impeccable, our waitress Cristina was attentive and friendly throughout our entire meal. Overall wonderful experience and would recommend this place for any occasion from casual dining to large grouped parties. 10/10!

A very Italian restaurant.I’ve been there on Saturday night and I very enjoyed my time there. The food was really really good, you can find the taste of Italy in their dishes. The service was good, all the staff was friendly and every time with the smile. The restaurant was a little bit noisy, but the live music was pleasant, they are good in their job. Even the dessert were delicious, we had tiramisù, cremebrulè and ricotta and pera, all fresh and yummy! If you want spend good times with your friends or your family I reccomend to all this friendly place.

Found the food to be mediocre. Beautiful restaurant and friendly staff. But the entree’s took over an hour. Reasonable prices.

Terrible service but amazing food. I want to give this restaurant five stars, but the staff do not know how to service tables. The lack of service from the waitress staff is enough to stop me from returning, let alone recommend this location to anyone. Had reservations for 830pm, but didn't get seated until 915pm. Appetizers showed up at 10.Our waitress spent the majority of her evening talking with two men at the table next to us. Because of this, our food was delivered 5 minutes apart from one another. The waitress never asked if we wanted drink refills, or extras for our meal, like cheese or pepper. The food is absolutely amazing. You can't beat their pizza.When it came to the end of meal, our waitress was no where to be found. This led to a 30 minute wait for the bill, and another 20 minutes for them to bring the credit/debit machine.Just beside myself with how terrible the service was.

Great service, lovely stuff but the pizza was barely average. The olives and mushrooms tasted like they were from a can bought at No Frills. The prosciutto had very little taste. The pizza dough was chewy and didn't taste of good quality. Nice folks trying their best i guess. The cook/staff need to taste the pizza.

A beautiful restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine. The deep dish pizza is one of the best in town. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for Italian food lovers!!

Our family had a lunch reception at Via Mercante Woodbridge and the food, service and everything was stellar! I highly recommend this restaurant and cannot thank Francesco and his team enough. Fantastic place for dining!!

They are one of best authentic Italian Pizzeria’s in Ontario for sure as they advertise. But I have to say their customer service was very disappointing. The server on many occasions forgot to bring desert menus when asked or Follow-up for orders and was no where to be found when we needed something. She was unable to spilt the cheque, and made us do the calculations for each of our orders. Like who does that ?!?I ordered the gnocchi, which was so yummy!! I wish I took a picture. Their bread with pepper olive oil was the best!!!I loved the food but the service left me unsatisfied.

Very crowded and noisy. Couldn’t hear my friends talking and could not have a conversation. Ordered the eggplant Parmesan. The tomato sauce was very bland with little or no salt. Very tasteless. My friends ordered the veal. Same thing. Bland with no taste. They got one small piece of veal with one carrot, one broccoli florets and half of a small potato. They could have been more generous on the vegetables after all this restaurant is not fine dining. First and last time and would not recommend.

New location on Langstaff in Woodbridge! The decor - magnifica, the food - buonissima, atmosphere - modern with a flare of Italia <3 Service is amazing. Food is served hot. Space is much larger, open concept kitchen and pizza oven. Wine list is simple and hits all the marks. Tiramisu is authentic. We booked a 20 person party here. Antipasto Boards, grilled and fried fish, pasta, grilled chicken and blackened jumbo shrimp with rapini, tiramisu and all the extras. Oh and a few pizza's !! Lol. Francesco is a good host. Keeps things operating like clockwork. The restaurant was at capacity, but we were never left out. Truely, recommend him 10/10 and will keep going back!!!!!

Best pizza place in toronto. I was here few days ago with a group of friends. Def. the best overall Italian place in TO. I recommand it to anyone who haven’t tried it!

Such a good experience. We did a surprise bday dinner for 25 people last night and service was incredible for such a big group. They went above and beyond to coordinate everything and cut a cake we brought no problem. Pizza was delicious. Definitely will come back.
